Memorial Day

Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. Memorial Day is at the end of the month of May. A few ways to show honor on this day is to walk with the American flag and march showing respect to our troops that died during the time of war. What I would do on this day is to celebrate with family members and show honor and respect to our troops by doing the solute and the pledge of allegiance.

Class/ Self Evaluation

Class/Self Evaluation

What I liked about this class was that we got to learn how to make our own website which is pretty cool. Also we learned new ways to do projects and pictures on the computers. Things that I didn’t like was that we didn’t get that much time on the computer and less time to do or even finish our projects. What I think that the improvements for this class should be have a new class order. Also have more time on the computer instead of talking and watching long videos that sometimes talk about things we know or we have already seen before. I actually did try my best but I just couldn’t make it to the level I wanted to be in this class but hopefully next year I can improve by looking at the mistakes I did in this class. To be honest I am committed to choose the right every day of my life because that’s what makes me successful in life. Choosing the right makes life easier and more positive. I always will choose the right. J

Glenn Cunningham

Glenn Cunningham
This man achieved his main goal which was to be an Olympian runner. He has suffered when he was a little boy but that didn’t stop him from achieving his goal. He is a man that puts heart on his dreams and never gives up. What I can learn from him is that to never give up even if you have suffered in life. Accomplishing your goals is the mission and I want to accomplish them. I need to be more active and more positive about myself knowing that I can do it. Never give up is key and always think positive.

The Six Attitudes of High Achievers

“The Six Attitudes of High Achievers”

-John R. Noe
High Achievers……

1. Make no small plans
You shouldn’t make small plans because if you want to succeed more in your future you must think higher. When you make little plans you can finish it in one day and it won’t be as fun. When you bigger plans you think more, you do more, and you won’t finish it in one day which is good because it’s a big plan. You want to challenge yourself so that in the future you would be ready to go and won’t need to do as much work people do now. Always think big so that you can achieve bigger things and have a better life.

2. Do what you fear
It is better to do what you fear because the subject or item or discussion you fear of might happen again but you never know when. You should face your fear by not doing the same mistakes that led you there and be bold. Be confident about yourself because that’s what takes higher and higher in life. Be the type of person that can do things without having any type of trouble and be a leader as well. Facing your fears is what makes you a better person. Be strong and be positive every day in your life.

3. Are Willing To Prepare
Before someone goes to a higher grade every student or child prepares for it. Why? It’s because you don’t want to be the person that is behind and is missing a lot of work and has to catch up. When we prepare ourselves we will be on track and not stay behind. It’s better to be prepared because sometimes when you don’t prepare you want to get a whole load of work or papers in front of you and not knowing where to put them. Preparing yourself for school and work you will success and proceed and be ahead of others maybe but stay prepared. There are challenges in the world that one must face. Be prepares and choose the right.

4. Are willing to risk failure
Success is found by those who are willing to fail. If you are one who is not willing to fail in a particular area of life, you will make sure that you have no opportunities to fail. Focus on accepting failure as a part of trying. You want to succeed in life. Its good to make failures because from that people know that you are learning little by little. You must avoid anything that will prevent you from succeeding in life. Take risk to achieve you goal in the future.

5.  Are teachable

Everyone must be willing to learn new things because then how will you succeed. When you are willing to learn something you will become successful. Why? The reason why is that when you want to learn something so that once you learn it than you make a living with it. For example how do you get your profession? Well you learn what you want to learn and with that info in your brain, that topic you learned for days, weeks, months, or maybe years will get you a job and in that job you will be successful. You must be willing to learn because if not what would you be in the future.

6. Have Heart

It’s good to have a heart meaning have feelings for others that will need something to happen in their lives. Sometimes when you do good things to others you might feel something that you will be proud of and might want to keep doing it. Be a good person and if not people will judge you and you don’t want that. Having a heart like that will help you live longer but you want to been known as someone special and know who you really are. Be a somebody with that heart of yours. Always choose the right and be positive and help others who are in need of a good heart.

Reflection

I believe that all these 6 attitudes of high achievers will help me in the future and make me proceed. If I use every attitude every day of my life I myself think that I will have an easy life. I want to be a high achiever and I have to do so much that it takes time as well and need to have a lot of patience so that I don’t give up easily.

Commitment

Commitment
A new attribute that I would like to talk about would be commitment. The word commitment means: the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity. To be commited means that you will do what you have to do and not let others down. A good quote that relates to the word commitment is,” there’s no abiding success without commitment.” This quote is really a fact because in real life commitment is needed to most in order to succeed. For example when I had a big project to do and be done in 1 week I had to be working on it everyday. I was commited to finishing that project. I felt that if I didn’t finish this project I was going to ruin all my grades and I was so focused to finish the project. I had finished 2 days before the presentation and I was glad about it. I was commited to finishing the project and there is my success in life and improve my grades by a lot which I needed. You must be commited when it comes to something big because if your not commited you wont finish and get a bad grade.

Attitude

Attitude

The new attribute is the word attitude. The definition for attitude is,” a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior”. A quote that I like is by Jack Sparrow he says,” the problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem”. This to me what this quote means that when you face a problem in life don’t receive it in a bad mood because that’s where the problem starts. For example I have a problem to deal with but yet I need a positive attitude so that I don’t make the problem worse.

accountability

ACCOUNTABILITY
The word accountability means the fact or condition of being accountable; responsibility. This word has quotes that relate to this word. Everyone uses this word when they have a hard time in life. A good quote that I like that relates to this word is” The right thing to do and the hard thing to do are usually the same.”  This quote I like because it’s true what he says. Once I had made a mistake in class which was not pasting a sheet of paper on the wrong page and it wasn’t much of a difference and I was confused but it ended out to not matter as much because we had to put in order with a the table of contents. So the mistake I did wasn’t really a mistake which was the same meaning there is no way a mistake can be different from the original way to do it.
